Trends for 2022 - Biophilia

Biophelia, a term I heard at last year’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show . I looked it up - “A love of life and the living world.” I didn’t completely understand at first what that had to do with design but as I did more research it began to click. Let me ask you this - does the site of a crackling fire or maybe waves crashing along the shore captivate you? Does walking through a botanical garden enhance your creativity. It’s that innate connection we have with nature that relaxes us yet invigorates us – leaving us feeling refreshed.

With what the world has experienced the last couple of years it’s no surprise that people want to bring the outdoors in, to reconnect with nature.

This month, we are going to give you ideas on how to include nature in your surroundings, starting with Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year “October Mist.” A perfect wall color that is soothing and comforting and feels very “natural”.
